Security changes on Campus
Now and in the near future
Cameras and a hand scanner are being added to Dismukes hall as it has the next highest number of occupants during the day.
The
Security Office has been moved to the former computer lab by the upper
Curtis lot door.
Walls are going up around the former Communications Area to better
facilitate their designated security functions.
Glass
partitions with doors have been place at both external openings to the
courtyard at Curtis Hall. Hand scanners will be added to both partitions
to facilitate easier access for authorized persons. The Courtyard doors
themselves will be unlocked 24 hours a day.
A hand scanner will also be added to the upper Curtis lot door (Mudlot)
A few tips for making it a safe and secure year
Always
lock you door (even when you are sleeping)
Mark your textbooks so that you can positively identify them in the
event they are lost or stolen
Do not ride bikes on walkways, ride on roadways and be mindful of
traffic
